Malaysian skater CHIN ASHLEY SOOK HUI had a bad fall while training in Seoul Korea just before travelling to Budapest. She badly hit her ankle and due to this, she has to withdraw from the competition. She will not compete in the second European leg of the World Cup either following the advice of the team’s physician.
Accordingly, her coach, SEON BYEONGSOO, will not travel to the European World Cup events either.
With this withdrawal on Malaysia’s part, with the entry deadline over, it has been finalised that 257 athletes from 43 countries are arriving in Budapest.
Reminder: at the 2013 World Championships held in Debrecen, Hungary, 179 skaters from 35 countries stepped on ice.
