The Official Logo of the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships® 2025 Has Been Unveiled: Discover Debrecen’s Unique Visual Identity
Preparations for the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships® 2025 have reached another important milestone: the official logo of the event has been completed. This logo not only reflects the spirit of the competition but also embodies the cultural and visual identity of Debrecen, celebrating the city through its colors and motifs.
The logo features the colors of Debrecen—blue and yellow—which symbolize both the city’s history and its modern character. This choice of colors not only references the city’s flag but also conveys a sense of freshness and dynamism, perfectly matching the future champions’ competition.
At the center of the logo is Debrecen’s iconic building, the Great Church, depicted in an unconventional way. The church is formed by sound waves, symbolizing the essential element of music in figure skating and ice dance. This creative approach highlights that the essence of these sports lies not only in technical skills but also in artistic expression, where the harmony between music and movement creates magic.
The main motif, the circle, is surrounded by lines reminiscent of skate marks left on the ice. These arcs represent the elegant and precise movements etched into the ice, showcased at the highest level by the competitors. The dynamics and curves of the lines capture the energy and momentum that make ice dance and figure skating beloved sports worldwide. The creator of the visual identity is Mónika Sármay graphic designer.
The logo of the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships® 2025 merges Debrecen’s landmarks, the artistry of the sports, and the unforgettable traces carved into the ice. This new logo is not just a visual emblem but also a celebration of the connection between young talents and the city, eagerly awaiting competitors and fans from around the world.
