Főnix Arena
The venue of the competition is the Főnix Arena located in the city center of Debrecen at the address: 28 Kassai út, Debrecen, 4028 Hungary. Főnix was the home of several successful ISU events in the past, including the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships in 2016. Although, since that time the building went through a remarkable reconstruction and thus received the title of ‘arena’ changing from the previous ‘hall’.
Practice Rink
Debrecen Ice Hall
The Debrecen Ice Hall (building 2) also opens its doors for the world’s best junior skaters as it is the venue dedicated for practices. Located at the address: 33 Derék utca, Debrecen, 4031 Hungary.
How to get there
From Budapest to Debrecen
The route to Debrecen from Budapest is approximately 2,5 hours (depending on current traffic) both via car and train. In case of car travel, look out for motorways M3 and M35, whereas the railway option is available at Keleti and Nyugati stations.
Public transportation
DKV Zrt. is responsible for the public transportation in Debrecen. You can travel by buses, trolleybuses and trams in the city. You can buy tickets at main interchanges, railway stations, vending machines, through the Mobiljegy app and online.
